Software Engineering

Custom software built to be maintained, not just shipped

We design, build, and maintain web applications, APIs, and internal tools that fit how your business works, with the engineering discipline to keep them reliable after launch.

Business outcomes

Software that solves a business problem

Technology is the means, not the goal. We start from what needs to change in your business and choose the simplest design that achieves it.

01

Replace manual work with dependable systems

Spreadsheets, copy-paste between tools, and email-based approvals become a single application with clear rules and an audit trail.

02

Connect the tools you already use

APIs and integrations move data between your CRM, payments, accounting, and operational systems without someone re-typing it.

03

Ship a first version without painting yourself into a corner

MVPs are scoped tightly, but built on a structure that can grow, so early success does not trigger an expensive rewrite.

04

Make existing software safer to change

Tests, upgrades, and incremental refactoring reduce the risk of touching code the business depends on.

Capabilities

What we build

From a single integration to a complete product, delivered by engineers who also understand how it will run in production.

Custom web applications

Full-stack web applications built with React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript, designed around your workflows.

Outcome: Software that replaces spreadsheets and manual steps with a dependable system.

Frontend & modern interfaces

Responsive, accessible interfaces with a clear component structure that your team can extend.

Outcome: Interfaces your customers and staff can use without training.

Backend & REST APIs

Well-structured APIs in Node.js or Python with validation, authentication, and documented contracts.

Outcome: A backend that other systems and teams can integrate with safely.

Dashboards & internal tools

Operational dashboards, admin panels, and back-office tools connected to your existing data.

Outcome: Faster decisions from data that is already in your systems.

Database design & integration

PostgreSQL schema design, migrations, indexing, and Redis caching where it genuinely helps.

Outcome: Data models that stay consistent as the product grows.

Third-party API integrations

Connecting payment providers, CRMs, ERPs, messaging, and other services with proper error handling and retries.

Outcome: Fewer manual hand-offs between the tools you already pay for.

Legacy improvement & modernization

Incremental refactoring, dependency upgrades, test coverage, and migration paths for ageing applications.

Outcome: Lower risk when changing code that the business depends on.

MVP development for startups

A focused first version that validates the idea, with a foundation that does not need to be thrown away.

Outcome: Something real in front of users, built on choices you can keep.

AI-assisted workflow automation

Pragmatic automation of repetitive work, including AI-assisted steps where they are reliable enough to trust.

Outcome: Time back from repetitive tasks, with humans kept in the loop where it matters.

Process

How a software project runs

Six stages, each with a visible result. You review working software throughout, not just at the end.

  1. 01

    Discovery

Clarify users, workflows, and constraints. Agree what the first useful version must do.

  2. 02

    Architecture

Choose the data model, integrations, and technology with maintainability and cost in mind.

  3. 03

    Development

Build in small increments you can review, with code that is readable and version-controlled.

  4. 04

    Testing

Automated tests for critical paths, plus review against the agreed acceptance criteria.

  5. 05

    Deployment

Automated, repeatable releases to an environment that is monitored from day one.

  6. 06

    Maintenance

Updates, fixes, and improvements, with documentation that lets any competent engineer take over.

Engineering standards

Built to be handed over

Everything we deliver should be understandable by the next engineer who works on it, whether that is us, your team, or someone else.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you work with existing codebases?

Yes. Many engagements start with an existing application. We begin with a short review to understand the code, its risks, and how it is deployed, then propose changes in small, safe steps.

Who owns the code?

You do. Work is committed to repositories you control, and ownership of the delivered code transfers to you as agreed in the contract.

How are projects priced?

After a discovery call we provide a written proposal. Well-defined work can be quoted as a fixed price per milestone; open-ended or exploratory work is usually time-based with an agreed budget cap.

Can you also deploy and host what you build?

Yes. That is the point of combining software and DevOps. We set up deployment pipelines and cloud environments in your own accounts, so you keep full control.
